Then Silver Spring Community Fire Company Live-In Program is the place for you!!

The Silver Spring Community Fire Company is currently seeking trained and motivated Firefighters to fill multiple full time live-in positions.

College Students or Work Live-In’s Welcome!

Amenities:

-Free Rent/Utilities
-Private dorm rooms
-Free Training (including EMT-B if basic criteria is met)
-Private, members only gym
-State of the art fire station, apparatus, equipment, and gear
-Modern dayroom, kitchen, and laundry facilities
-Weekly in house training
-Only 60 hours of on station time per week required (includes sleep time)

HACC
Central Penn
Messiah
Penn State Harrisburg
Dickinson Law
Albright College
Harrisburg UST

Requirements:

Mod-D or Essentials of Firefighting (FF1 preferred)
Haz-Mat Operation Level
BVR Operations Level (Technician Preferred)
First Aid, CPR, AED (EMT-B preferred)

All preferred training above is required 18 months after move in date. (Exception EMT-B) 

Station Operates:

Engine-Tanker
Rescue-Engine
Urban Interface Pumper
100ft Platform Quint (coming 2022)

Average 700 alarms annually
