Then Silver Spring Community Fire Company Live-In Program is the place for you!!
Our Program Offers:
- Free Rent/Utilites
- Private Dorm Rooms
- Free Training (including EMT-B if you hold a FF1 certificate)
- A Private gym
- State of the art fire station, apparatus, equipment, and gear
- Modern dayroom, kitchen, and laundry facilities
- Weekly in house training
- Only 60 hours of on station time per week required (includes sleep time)
Requirements:
- Module D of Essentials (Interior) (FF1 is preferred)
- Hazmat Operations Level Certification
- Vehicle Rescue Operations Level Certification
- First Aid, CPR, AED OR Basic Life Support (EMT-B preferred)
- All peferred training listed above is required to be completed within 18 months of your move in date (Besides EMT-B)
- If you do not have all the minimum requirements, you are welcome to join as a member and work towards meeting those before you become an actual live-in
